Despite and perhaps because of what most people

perceive as a dry, murky and pretentious world of economic cacophony that modern life adorns us, I maintain that a sense of humour comes right after air, water, food and shelter in the list of essentials for a human to thrive.

As to the inspiration for the title of this blog it’s an anagram, of well you work it out, to construct two words: a position that probably would have suited me, during one of my favourite moments of history; and of course something that I try to adhere to as well preach.

My fanciful dream was for this blog to be my stick and carrot, carrying a dash of lucidity with a smattering humour here and there.
